This village near Delhi NEVER celebrates Dussehra, here’s why  .. Source TOI , Dt.22-10-23

The village of Bisrakh, located near Delhi, has a unique tradition during Navratri and Dussehra. Villagers here mourn the death of Ravana and pray for his soul’s Liberation . The villagers consider Ravana as a devoted follower of Lord Shiva and consider his as their own . They dont take part in Burning the effigy of Ravana . Our Opinion : This shows the diversity in the belief by different people in different parts of India and the greatness of the country is that it gives due respect to all the belief that persists in Bharatiya Parampara .
