On my return journey from Phagunasinery and Madkar in Kotia Panchayat of Koraput district today , I found this old man going down the hills .I wondered where could he be going alone ! He said that he had taken a couple of cattle for grazing .But after returning home he was told that a cow had not returned home .He was walking down the hills once again .I couldn’t imagine how much courage this elderly tribal man might be having that he would be going down such a deep valley .I talked to him to make him relax a bit .He was getting pension from Odisha government while his wife was getting pension from AP as well .But as their son was staying separate both the old couple were not able to do any hard work and were living happily with the amount they were getting from both the government .He has also got a house from Odisha state government .I admired his honest speaking .At last he said that he was feeling hungry and if I had something to share .I had a biscuit packet in my bag .Readily I took it out and gave it to him .He asked me if I had any more biscuits for myself .I was happy to see his innocent concern and said that there was enough for me in the bag .He ate biscuits and blessed me before continuing his journey down the hills .Please listen to our conversation in Odia
