State government in Odisha has issued guidelines to close Liquor sale in OFF and ON shops from 22nd to 26th March for ULB elections in Urban areas . How much will it be truely beneficial looking at the fact that the shops in Block areas will be kept open . Take for example . Semiliguda is a town which has half of its area as Urban and other half as Rural . hence when the shop ( if any) in the rural side was kept open how can Semiliguda be free from Liquor sale . Why sshould the state not stop Liquor sale 100% ( both Urban and Rural) if it wants to make it free from Liquor consump[tion during ULB elections !
