Education minister in Odisha suspended a school teacher as a student of Std.3 could not say multiplication tables .I wondered if the minister was right in doing this .Children in STD.3 are the ones who had joined the school in STD.1 , promoted to STD.2 & 3 without attending many physical classes ( the government says that it had not reached maximum students with online classes during COVID ) .Hence the minister should have understood the condition through which the child was passing through .Just imagine what would have been the reaction in the child when the entire school , community put him as the cause of suspention of his teacher ! Instead of punishing the teacher , the minister should have shown a way to improve the standard in children .I wish if the minister understand the children well before showing his action .
