Poem on a child sitting near a river

A little one sits by the river,
Playing carefree in the sun,
Laughing and delighting
This child is having fun.

The river flows onward and wild,
A gentle lullaby it sings,
As its secrets the child slowly uncovers
Its beauty the child never tires of seeing.

The water sparkles and glitters,
A magical place in the child’s eyes,
Soaring in its depths,
Where the child will remain for some time.
